Racha Yai


Racha Yai is the bigger island of the Twin Racha Islands. ‘Racha’ means ‘King’ and ‘Yai’ means ‘Big’. Sometimes it is referred to as the big brother of the Racha Islands. Most travelers choose to visit the island as part of an organized fishing, snorkeling, diving or catamaran tour from Phuket. There is a 5 star resort, plenty of eateries and adventure sports on the island. On the island you would find 2 beautiful soft white sand beaches which are Patok Beach and Siam Bay. Both are surrounded by hills and sit in deep days. The island is mostly inhabited by farmers and fishermen.

Located 18 km south of Phuket you can only get there by boat.

Racha Noi


Racha Noi is the smaller island of the Twin Racha Islands. ‘Racha’ means ‘King’ and ‘Noi’ means ‘Small’. Sometimes it is referred to as the smaller brother of the Racha Islands. Most travelers choose to visit the island as part of an organized fishing, snorkeling, diving or catamaran tour from Phuket. The island is mostly unhabitated.

Getting to Racha Noi

Located 27 km south of Phuket you can only get there by boat.

Coral Island


Coral Island is popular with beach lovers and people into selfies. Also known as Ko He, the island has white sand beaches and crystal clear sea water. There are a bunch of water sport activities on the island. From hoping on to a glass bottom boat to look at the beautiful underwater world to sea walking, para sailing and banana boat rides, you would never be bored. Most travelers visit the island on daytrip speed boat or catamaran tour packages from Phuket. On the island you would find 2 beaches that most tour boat packages will bring you to. <br> Long beach is the main beach and is often over crowded with plenty of tourist and rows of boats parked along the bay. Best to just blend in and enjoy the noise and the water sports. A 10 to 15mins walk on a path at the end of the Long beach will bring you to Banana beach. It is not as busy as Long Beach but nowadays most informed travelers take that walk. Some boats will take you direct to Bannna beach.

Getting to Coral Island

Located 7 km south-east of Phuket you can only get there by boat.

Phi Phi


Phi Phi Island, located 50km east of Phuket, is considered by many as the best island in Thailand. It is actually made up of a group of six islands. Phi Phi Don is the largest and is where the party and action is and is the only place you can stay overnight. Phi Phi Leh is south of Phi Phi Don and is where you will find the famous Maya Bay (featured in the movie "The Beach") and the Viking Cave. Further south are Koh Bida islands famous for diving trips. Up north are Bamboo and Moquito islands which are basically limestone rocks spiking out from the sea.

Getting to Phi Phi

Located 45 km east of Phuket you can only get there by boat.
To get to Phi phi there are 3 optionsa:

  • Catamaran

Ferry
  • From Phuket, Rasada Pier, it takes 2 hours
  • The top deck doubles up as a sundeck so you can get a suntan enroute
  • It is very comfortable and with a VIP (green) ticket you can lounge out in air con middle deck

  • Very popular way of getting to and seeing PhiPhi
  • You decide your departure time and the spots you want to visit
  • Good value for larger groups as the cost of boat hire is divided
  • Caution, avoid speed boat in bad marine weather as the sea trip can get pretty bumpy
